*1 spicy tuna roll
*Salad with lemon vinaigrette

Snack 2:30pm:

*Grilled steak
*1 cup diced roasted potatoes
*1/2 cup green beans with onion

*4 oz grilled chicken breast
*medium baked potatoe with 1 tbsp smart balance and 1 tbsp lowfat sour cream
*1 cup arugula salad with 1 tbsp homemade lemon/EVOO vinaigrette

Workout 7:30pm:
*1 hours Pilates

A new week...

Breakfast 8:30 am:
*16 oz iced coffee with 2 tbsp half and half and 3 splenda
*2 eggs over easy
*2 turkey sausage patties

Lunch 1:00 pm:
*mesclun mix salad with red onion, carrot, beets, mushrooms and 1 tbsp creamy french dressing
*roasted new potatoes (<-- nutritional info below) *cod vera cruz (nutritional info below -->)





















Workout 4:30 pm:

*45 min swim/1 mile

Dinner 7:30 pm:
*4 oz grilled chicken tender with bbq sauce
*oven roasted potatoes and peppers

Dessert 8:45 pm:
*1 cup nonfat frozen yogurt with almonds and honey

Long Day...

*Active Lifestyle instant maple brown sugar & pecan oatmeal

Lunch 12:00 pm:
*McDonald's double cheeseburger
*McDonald's Large fries

Dinner 6:30 pm:
*1/4 cup spinach dip
*15 tortilla chips
*1 piece cream cheese/veggie pizza

Dessert 9:00 pm:
*1 small slice yellow cake with chocolate icing

Today was a crazy day. Was up too early, but wasn't productive. I'm in quite a bad mood and still don't feel all that well. Made it out for the birthday photo scavenger hunt but did a lot of running around in the mall for 2 hours only to eat snacks as a dinner. Back on the wagon tomorrow :)

Still Getting Better...

*Thai basil mussels with 1 cup white rice

Went out with friends to a Happy Hour tonight but still dont' feel great so I left after being there for about an hour. Did good though, because I drank club soda the entire time...so at least I'm hydrated.

Why am I so tired...

I woke up this morning feeling like I had gotten 2 hours sleep...when in reality I went to bed 9:00 and woke up this morning at 6:30. Lately I've been talking a lot more in my sleep, grinding my teeth and (apparently from what my husband says) snoring. My dad has sleep apnea, from being overweight, so I'm depressed that I might be falling into the same health issues. This, this blog, is a hope to steer clear of diabetes, sleep apnea, obesity and an early death :)

Breakfast 8:00 am:
*4 oz oj/4 oz grapefruit juice
*36 frosted mini wheats with 1/4 cup 2% milk
*banana

Lunch 12:00 pm:
*tortilla & lime crusted tilapia (nutritional info -->)
*1 cup cooked broccoli
*5 chicken gyoza dumplings
*1 small orange

Snack 3:00 pm:
*1 small apple
*12 almonds

Dinner 8:00 pm:
*1/2 grilled chicken tender sandwich on kaiser roll with red onion, lettuce, tomato and honey mustard
*side salad with cheese, croutons, onion, tomato and honey mustard

Ouch...

So after multiple test, we still have no idea why my stomach is hurting so bad. But I'm not going to let it drag me down. I always seem to make excuses (I know this, and have friends that point my excuses out). This will not be an excuse. Just a record.

*6 chicken gyoza dumplings with sauce
*20 organic corn chips with spicy black bean dip and salsa

Feeling Motivated

Breakfast 8:15 am:

*24 frosted mini wheats w/ 1/4 cup 2% milk

*3 oz grilled chicken breast

*1 cup steamed string beans

*large non fat frozen yogurt with strawberries, almonds and drizzled honey

Dinner 6:30 pm:
*no appetite

I had my ultrasound today...all I can say is UNCOMFORTABLE :( I feel so horrible. I hope we find out why I have this pain soon.

Why...

Today seemed the perfect day to start this blog. I've been down in the dumps, some might say depressed; but it's all of my own making and I've done nothing to change it. It seems like God is trying to get my attention. I just came across this quote on an old acquaintances Facebook page:

Myself: A 27 year old morbidly obese female with a thyroid condition (hereditary), aches and pains in my feet and back (due to being obese) with no will power but a great support system.
Current Weight: 270 pounds

It: A healthy, active female who isn't ashamed to go into her dresser/closet and put on clothes that fit and flatter her healthy figure. That isn't ashamed to hang out with her healthy friends who are active. A young woman who can walk from her car to a concert or picnic without getting embarrassingly out of breath and having to slow people down. A woman who is confident in herself; her personality, her body, her beliefs, her career - the entire package.
Goal Weight: 150 pounds

After spending some time thinking about why I have been unsuccessful in losing weight and being motivated in the past I instantly thought - I don't have mini goals....I want to drop all of the weight I put on as quick or quicker than I gained it. And we all know that's not going to happen. I also have had the tendency to reward my weight loss with "extravagant" dinners out - which, HELLO continues this endless cycle that is/was my life. So, I'm going to "Say IT"...

My short term goals:
*Lose 20 pounds by Thanksgiving (60 days)
*Exercise at least 4 times/week for at least 30 minutes
*Weigh myself every Tuesday morning
*Blog my daily nutrition/activity
*"RUN" (another) 5k
*Have and keep willpower

My long term goals:
*Weigh 150 pounds
*Enjoy exercising both indoors and outdoors
*Run a 10k *Run a Half Marathon
*Complete a Mini Triathlon
*Have and keep willpower
